The Angel Experiment
Kids my age think TV is the only place they can see real action and feel the thrill of it without actually being in the middle of it. But a few months ago, I realized that’s not true. The Angel Experiment by James Patterson is the most action-packed, heart-racing book you’ll ever find.
The Angel Experiment is a story about six kids—the flock—who have extraordinary lives. And by that, I mean that they’re not fully human. While they’re 98% human, the other 2% is bird. They have wings and certain abilities that make them interesting. They were made this way by a group of evil scientists, who work at a lab called the School. After ten years of suffering and pain, they finally escaped. But when the youngest of them all, Angel, is kidnapped by one of the scientists’ half-wolf guards, the flock sets out to rescue her.
I won’t ruin the book for you, but I can tell you that James Patterson can make you laugh and cry at the same time. The main character, Maximum Ride, isn’t like most girls. She’s sarcastic and stubborn, and is the best leader in the whole world. To the rest of the flock, Max is like a mom, but also an awesome fighter. Her sarcasm makes the readers laugh no matter how many times they read it.
Will Angel be locked up forever in the School? Or will the flock rescue her and be whole again? If you’re a lover of action/adventure movies, I advise you to give The Angel Experiment a try. I’m sure you won’t regret it!
