"Holy cow!", I exclaimed when I heard the blaring horn. I certainly wasn't ready for that. it was one of those old fashioned cars with the "a-ooga, a-ooga!" sound. I soon saw the car come careening down the street. My brother my sister and I raced to the window. It was already about 300 feet away when we saw it. But I was wrong; it wasn't a car. No, it was a five armed mechanical monkey.
The monkey was holding one of those bike horns that honks really loud.Everyone even my brother, mysister and I had to cover our ears when it passed because it also was playing an annoying song. It kind of reminded us of the weird sounds ostriches make. We wondered if this thing had some sort of self disturct button or switch we could flip in order to turn this thing off. It was going to be a long summer if that monkey kept bothering us. But it turns out the annoying mechanical monkey was the very least of my problems.The next day, nine more of those monkeys came down the street. something was odd about these monkeys. then we got it. the monkeys were holding PEOPLE!!! somehow the monkeys were really tired and we found the self desruct buttons and used them to defeat the king monkey. The next day, we were on the news. The headline? Some Kids Saved People From GIANT MONKEYS Apparently, we saved royalty. The king, the queen, two princesses and two princes were going to be dropped into a lava pit by the monkeys. My brother, my mother, my father, my sister and I were invited to stay at the palace. Once we arrived all we could see were jewels. Even the floor was constructed of jewels. Any kind of jewels, rubies, perals, dimonds, you name it! Suddenly, the room filled with mist.. A magical portal made of obsidian opened in front of us. We dove in. Soon,we landed on a hard surface. The portal closed behind us. Suddenly, we realised were were a in Hawaii in 1111! We couldn't believe It traveled back in time! "hmmm..." we think."this is just like a fiction book. and if we know fiction, a person will come into the room, a vilian will jump in, the person will mistake us for heroines, and beg us to help them." "oh no," we gasp as we realized we were teetering on edge of a giant volcano that was ready to erupt! luckily, we slid down the side, and landed at the bottom just before the volcano erupted. Oh no!!!! we started sprinting as fast as we could to get away from the colossal explosion.lucky for us, we had taken track sessions earlier in the summer and last spring. more like our mom had forced us to. but, boy did they pay off now. We made a mental note to thank our mom when we got home. If we got home. suddenly we crashed into something, face first. We humiliated ourselfs when we realised we had run into a giant float, in front of cazillions and cazillions of people, at a parade. A big parade. Suddenly we realised we were not in Hawaii any more. We were in NYC in the Macy's thanksgiving parade!! We thought we were going insane. Then we looked back and saw the time portal closing behind us. "No!" we shouted. The music stopped. Everyone looked at us like we were crazy. How embarrassing, we thought blushing a brilliant shade of red. Suddenly the time portal reappeared. Just before we dove in we heard a clanking noise. We looked back and saw one of the largest of the demolished mechanical monkeys staring us right in the eye. Finally, we were back in the palace. "Well, what did you think of our time portal?" asked the queen. "It was so crazy, we can't explain it," we replied. That night, the queen explained that we had been in the illusion room. The jewels were just an illusion.''Did you find the queen monkey?" said a few bystanders. "What queen monkey?" "There is a king and queen monkey" The bystanders replied. "Boys aren't the only ones to rule something you know." My sister is always saying stuff like that. And I always believe her. The next day we went back into the portal. We landed in Paris, France we saw that the monkeys invaded the illusion room too. We shut them down and my brother, my sister and I were on the news again. We also saved Fresno, Spain, China, California, Minasota, Mississippi, Florida, Masidonia, the rest of France, Japan, Saturn, India, Kenya, Algeria and Germany. The news people said that we were heroes that couldn't be stopped. The bravest of the brave and the kindest of the kind. They gave us the Nobel Peace Prize for 2011. We were honered. Then suddenly an asteroid hit the earth. The prizes and recognition went down the drain because everybody was starting to melt it was so hot. But we were unstoppable. Or were we? " What is happening here"!? i screamed. "Nothing" my best friend said to me. Then, everybody just started to melt away into a pool of earwax.
