"Did you see that?" I asked my friend.
"See what?" she answered.
"That giant," I pointed to the window in our classroom. "That giant right there just walked past our building!" I almost screamed in her ear. I went to my other friend. "Do you see that giant outside that window?" "No..." she said, "what?" "Never mind..." Why couldn't anyone see that giant I was pointing to. It had sharp elf-like ears, a piggy snout, and a humongous hot-pink colored body with eyes that stuck out on stems from the top of its head. " Can anyone see the giant outside the classroom window!?" i screamed. someone said "you mean the tree shape thing ?" i said "could you pay attention?' Right then, I felt the whole world around me disappear.
When I opened my eyes, I was in a whole different dimension. I was surrounded by the weirdest creatures. Then, a girl with blonde hair walked up to me and said "Ah, keet cha mingatot ily?" I had no idea what she just said!
She waved at me. I slowly waved back. When I looked into her eyes, I noticed that one eye was brown while the other one was blue. I closed my eyes and forced an idea into my head. This is fake, this is fake, this is ALL fake. When I open my eyes I will be back in my classroom where everything is normal. When I opened my eyes, the girl was still staring at me with a puzzled look.
"Hello..." I said slowly. "Bew ket minga minga!" that girl sang, "Kelt binger den tonke!" I look around the place I was in now. It looked like my school-kind of, but the colors and the kids in my class were just totally different! "Where am I?!!!!" I shouted at the top of lungs. The girl frowned, then opened her eyes wide. "mu sa!" she exclaimed. Then she pressed on her necklace. "Can you understand me now?" she asked. "yes, thank goodness." I breathed out. "What did you do with that necklace?" i asked. "It's my translator. That's why you can understand me. I forgot to turn it on before."
"Oh okay. So, what's your name?" I ask the blonde hair girl.
"Oh, I am Cheyenne." The girl replied.
"Okay. So Cheyenne, where am I and how did I end up here?" In my head, I probably have about 1,937 questions left.
Wait a minute! I remember Cheyenne! She was the talkative girl in the last row in my class! It was only a couple of months ago when she mysteriously disappeared. No one has seen her for a while.
"Wait, weren't you in Ms.Ruckin's class earlier this year?" I ask to make sure it is the right Cheyenne.
"Yes. Ms.Ruckin was the leader of those elf-eared pig giants, the Rax Devils. I figured that out from a book I read. That's why they are always around the classroom window." What? So that's what I saw earlier! The big giant thing out the window was a Rax Devil!
"Okay but why am I the only one who can see them?"
"Because you have a gift." she answered like it was obvious.
"What gift?
"The gift of sight."
"English, please."
"I am! You can see things no one else can see. That is why you were called here."
"Where is here exactly?"
"Potatoville. It is a magical place where all of the things from myths are."
"So..." I question Cheyenne, "were you called here too?"
"Yes," Cheyenne replies, "I was called here for the gift of hearing. I can hear the slightest pin drop."
"Wow, that's cool. So do all of these people have a special ability?"
"Yes, pretty much." Cheyenne answered "Together, we could all defeat Ms.Ruckin and the Rax Devils. All we were waiting for was a person with the gift of sight."
"So, you were all waiting for me?"
"Right. Now, we must all go back to the mortal world and defeat the Rax Devils" Cheyenne said.
I wasn't so sure if I wanted to go and destroy the Rax Devils yet. It sounded scary! "Well, what are you waiting for?" Cheyenne asked. "Nothing!" I exclaimed, "let's go!" Right then, Cheyenne turned around and picked up a old boot. "Um, what are you going to do with that?" I ask
"This is a expedia-spot. All we have to do is put a finger on it, concentrate on where we want to go and then we will be there." Cheyenne informed me
"ALL RIGHT EVERYONE! PUT A FINGER ON THE Expedia-spot AND WE WILL GO TO THE MORTAL WORLD!" Cheyenne shouted so everyone could hear. A few minutes later, we spun, and spun, and spun until we were in the mortal world.
I opened my eyes. Suddenly, I couldn't see Cheyenne. I looked down at my feet, well and there was no feet. "Cheyenne! I yelled. "Shhhh," Cheyenne hissed, "don't be so loud. I'm right here but we're all invisible." I have always wanted to be invisible.
"Okay everyone, follow me and we will get to the classroom." Cheyenne ordered. Everyone obeyed and followed her to Ms. Ruckin's classroom.
Kate and Lauren were standing near the doorway lifting candy into some boxes. I guess it was for our candy display in May. "Wait," I ask Cheyenne, "can't they see us?" Then I remember I was invisible. Way cool! "No, they can't. Remember?"said Cheyenne. "Yeah," I admitted.
We walked in the doorway and I saw Ms. Ruckin. She looked pretty normal, at least that's what I thought. She didn't look like the leader of the Rax Devils and that stuff. Benny and Bobby were blowing spit bubbles to the girls in the class and grossing everyone out. "Ewww!" Beth was screaming. This was the typical Ms. Ruckin's class, which I used to be in until I was suddenly in the different world. As we all followed Cheyenne, we walked behind Ms.Ruckin's desk. No one was allowed back there and now I know why. There was several miniature Rax Devils walking around the open drawers.
I jerked back. "Ouch," Cheyenne exclaimed, "Be careful!" "Sorry!" I cried. I walked slowly nearer and nearer Ms. Ruckin's desk until I was right in front of her chair.
"See what?" she answered.
"That giant," I pointed to the window in our classroom. "That giant right there just walked past our building!" I almost screamed in her ear. I went to my other friend.
