Eragon
One boy. One dragon. A world of adventure. Eragon by Christopher Paolini is one of the most epic stories in the world. What makes it even more interesting is that the author wrote the book when he was only fifteen!

In Eragon, a young farm boy finds a dragon egg while trying to find food for his family. After the dragon hatches, Eragon finds himself in the middle of a huge crisis. Two inhuman creatures, the Ra’zac, are after Eragon, the new Dragon Rider and his dragon, Saphira. If they catch him, they’ll take him to Galbatorix, the evil king of Alagaësia and the only other Rider alive. After the Ra’zac murder Eragon’s uncle, Garrow, he and Saphira must leave their small town of Carvahall to pursue them to avenge Garrow’s death. Along with an old storyteller who isn’t who he seems, they embark on an adventure, making new friends and new enemies as well.

Eragon is almost impossible to not enjoy. There’s plenty of adventure, and the way Paolini writes is truly amazing. The story itself keeps you on the edge of your seat, waiting to see what happens next. For example, Paolini constantly makes unanticipated events happen at the most random times. Soon, you’ll be expecting the unexpected. It’s not a book that makes you fall asleep at night. It’s a book that keeps you up all night. You’ll find yourself saying, “Just one more chapter tonight, that’s all…” over and over again. It’s a book that you just can’t put down.

Will Eragon and Saphira take vengeance on the Ra’zac? Or will Galbatorix remain undefeated? There’s only one way to find out: read the book yourself!
